It might sound like a massage therapist cliche but…
I’ve just always had this drive to help people feel their best… and I’ve always loved anatomy, yes, I’m that weirdo ;)
So what better way to combine my love of anatomy, my drive to help people feel their best, than getting trained as a registered massage therapist?
And so off I went to get qualified at a 3000 hour RMT program in Edmonton (2017) when I lived out in Alberta. Though, when me and my family made the trek back to Ontario, I had to re-certify AGAIN with the CMTO in 2018… so I guess double the certifications can be fun!
Being an RMT for all these years has really been where I get to shine. I love that I can help people feel better while providing a calm, professional space where they can truly decompress. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a client shift from a state of tension to a state of stillness.
So a treatment with me is of course going to address what’s bothering you, but it’s also going to be a soothing escape from your world. And I get it! Life with a husband and two young sons is amazing AND anything but quiet! I think that’s why I’m so protective of the environment I create for my clients. I know exactly how valuable one hour of true peace and safety is, and I love being able to provide that for others.
I also genuinely love the problem-solving aspect…
It really is such a trip finding the root cause of the pain and working through it. But, just as importantly, I enjoy being able to give my clients a much-needed window of time to escape life's stresses and truly reset.
While I love the "detective work" of clinical cases, I strongly believe that healing happens best when the nervous system is calm. I focus on treating specific issues like TMJ while ensuring the rest of the body feels supported and relaxed.
And some other Brittany lore:
Outside of work I’m a wife and busy mom of two boys
We love being part of the Amherstburg community!
You can find us outside, kayaking or just chasing our kiddos
I’m a certified book worm, my fav at the moment is Mitch Albom, especially The Time Keeper
I looove music and live for a great concert! I’ve seen everyone from Cher and Elton John to Journey, Zach Bryan and even Backstreet Boys and Coldplay!
